Creating a Differential Diagnosis — What it is, why it’s important, why it’s not unethical for LCs to do, and how to do it. (And why an “Assessment” without a differential IS what’s forbidden).
This talk will address the basic steps of creating a differential diagnosis and plan of action. We will look at how this process totally fits within the LC’s ethical obligations—indeed, how creating a differential diagnosis protects you from making a diagnosis and will improve your communication and relationships with doctors.
